China bans urea export-2023
We have been notified by the local customs of an extension to the inspection process for urea (CIQ). The new inspection period has been prolonged from 15-20 days to 60 working days. This revised policy will be applicable to orders that have not been cleared previously, causing an extension to the delivery time of roughly 65-80 calendar days. We offer our sincerest apologies for any delays in delivery caused by this abrupt policy alteration.
This policy revision has been implemented by the China Development and Reform Commission after discussions with major urea manufacturers to regulate the domestic urea market. It is a regulation enforced by the Chinese government and customs. As one of the urea suppliers in China, we are duty-bound to adhere to the relevant national policies. We truly appreciate your understanding in this matter.
We have verified the authenticity of this news as none of our orders after September 20th have procured customs clearance orders (CIQ).
Given the revised delivery timeline, we suggest carrying out a comprehensive evaluation and early implementation of the procurement plan to minimize any disruptions to regular production.
We thank you for your collaboration and comprehension.
